Dalton proposed barefoot in the kitchen of our home, on a quiet and happy morning during quarantine, April 25th, 2020.

One day shy of a year later, we got married at a private ceremony in Sedona, Arizona.

The wedding weekend felt like a fun Jolly-Ishmail family reunion! We stayed at a family friend’s private property nestled between the red rocks, right on the creek in Oak Creek Canyon.

Behind the scenes jitters and excitement just as the ceremony was starting!

Little fun story: We chose to go sans-shoes for our ceremony so that we could feel connected to Mother Earth while we said our vows and made our commitment. We have always felt that our love is like nature – powerful, beautiful, and a force we can’t claim credit for.

At sunset, the touching and thoughtful ceremony was officiated by Grant (bride’s brother).

After a few laughs and joyful tears we became Mr and Mrs!

The reception dinner was just as intimate and romantic as the ceremony, held at Cress on Oak Creek.

We toasted to some epic speeches and shared family stories, while listening to the creek babble in the background.
